Divemaster candidates will be required to successfully complete an independent study element (eLearning time commitment: 8-12 hours).

Divemaster candidates will be required to successfully complete a practical element with their chosen dive shop in order to complete the course.

The prerequisites are as follows: Minimum Age: 18. (Divers who are younger than 18 but at least 15 may enroll in the PADI Junior Divemaster program); PADI Rescue Diver certification (or qualifying certification); completion of Emergency First Response® Primary and Secondary Care training (or qualifying training) within 24 months; minimum 40 logged dives; medically evaluated and cleared for diving by a physician within 12 months.
