PADI Course Directors are PADI Master Instructors who have taken the next step and joined an elite group of Instructor Trainers.
Course Directors teach PADI Instructor Development Courses (IDCs) and other instructor-level training, and thus are the scuba diving industry's most influential leaders and role models.
This rating is the highest and most respected professional rating in recreational scuba diving.
To become a Course Director, candidates must earn a place on a Course Director Training Course (CDTC) through a competitive application process that examines both experience and training goals.
Meeting all the prerequisites for the course does not guarantee acceptance into the Course Director Training Course (CDTC). Applications are evaluated against selection criteria and ranked within the pool of applicants. Only the top-ranking applicants are accepted into the course.
Verify an individual PADI Member’s credential status here: https://bit.ly/PADIProChek. PADI Members must be renewed and authorized to conduct PADI courses and programs.
