PADI IDC Staff Instructor

Just as scuba divers look up to PADI Divemasters, Instructor Candidates feel the exact same way about PADI IDC Staff Instructors. As the name implies, IDC Staff Instructors assist with instructor training and share their wisdom and experience with new PADI leaders. The IDC Staff Instructor course provides an in-depth knowledge of the dive instructor development process and prepares candidates to shape the next generation of PADI Professionals. It's also a great career move for any PADI Professional. After a preassessment of instructor-level knowledge of dive theory and standards, and on exemplary dive skills and role-model presentation techniques, candidates will participate in these sessions: - Instructor development standards, procedures, and curriculum - How to organize and conduct the PADI Assistant Instructor course - The psychology of evaluation and counselling - Evaluating knowledge development, confined water, and open water teaching presentations Candidates will also have the chance to audit an Instructor Development Course (IDC) or practice teaching many curriculum components. During the auditing process on an IDC, candidates may, under a Course Directors supervision: - Conduct IDC training segments - Evaluate and critique Instructor Candidate knowledge development, confined water, and open water diving teaching presentations.  - Provide counseling and remedial training for Instructor Candidates and IDC Staff Instructor candidates.  Verify an individual PADI Member’s credential status here: https://bit.ly/PADIProChek.
