The PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating (MSDT) is for instructors who take continuing education seriously and are committed to teaching a variety of specialty courses. Being an MSDT signifies that you’ve got the experience and certifications to offer all the training a diver needs to become a Master Scuba Diver - the ultimate recreational diver rating.

Earning Criteria
Required
PADI Instructors who meet the requirements of at least five specialty instructor courses and agree to use the PADI System and components in their entirety may apply to become a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer.
Prerequisites:
To become a Master Scuba Diver Trainer, you must:
- Be a PADI Instructor
- Have certified at least 25 divers
- Have earned at least five PADI Specialty Instructor certifications.
